Development and Verification of a Prognostic Stemness-Related Gene Signature in Triple-Negative Breast Cancer

چکیده
Background. It is well known that cancer stem cells can induce metastasis, which causes the majority of cancer-related death, especially in triple-negative breast (TNBC). TNBC features a high metastatic rate and low metastasis-free survival regarded as most malignant subtype cancer. A Prognostic Gene Signature for Metastasis-Free Survival of Triple Negative Breast Cancer Patients
Although triple negative breast cancers (TNBC) are the most aggressive subtype of breast cancer, they currently lack targeted therapies. Because this classification still includes a heterogeneous collection of tumors, new tools to classify TNBCs are urgently required in order to improve our prognostic capability for high risk patients and predict response to therapy. We previously defined a gen...

Introduction: Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is a type of breast cancer that is negative for estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor, and HER2. This study aimed to evaluate the clinical outcomes and short-term prognosis of this type of cancer compared with other subtypes of breast cancer. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 108 women with invasive breast cancer. The patie...

BACKGROUND Triple-negative breast cancer (estrogen receptor-negative, progesterone receptor-negative, and HER2-negative) is a high risk breast cancer that lacks the benefit of specific therapy that targets these proteins. METHODS In this study, the authors examined a large and well characterized series of invasive breast carcinoma (n = 1944) with a long-term clinical follow-up (median, 56 mon...

15 صفحه اولEvaluation of Breast Cancer Stem Cells and Intratumor Stemness Heterogeneity in Triple-negative Breast Cancer as Prognostic Factors
Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is a tumor subtype with aggressive behavior and poor clinical outcome for lacking effective therapies. Breast cancer stem cells (BCSCs) have been suggested to have tumor-initiating properties, but it remains unclear whether their presence contributes to the increased aggressiveness and poor prognosis of TNBC. Also, the breast cancers display frequent inter- ...
