Development and Validation of V2G Technology for Electric Vehicle Chargers Using Combo CCS Type 2 Connector Standards

Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology is viewed as a viable solution to offer auxiliary power system services. Currently, V2G operation only possible through DC chargers using the CHAdeMO connector with necessary communication protocol. However, in Europe, for high-power charging (>50 kW), Combined Charging Service (CCS) Type 2 preferred over CHAdeMO. Therefore, this work presents development of testing Combo CCSType charger including via ISO 15118-2 The BOSCH passenger car 400 V battery pack used test and validate technical feasibility CCS standard. feature characterized terms efficiency, signal delay, response proportionality, magnitude accuracy noise precision. A data driven simulation model based on real-time also developed MATLAB/Simulink. performance under various operating settings presented outcomes, emphasizing need appropriate hardware calibration, understanding while delivering standard-compliant grid control services technology. Finally, results are compared real error, level accuracy.
