Development and Validation of Accumulation Term (Distributed and/or Point Source) in a Finite Element Hydrodynamic Model

چکیده
During tropical storms, precipitation and associated rainfall-runoff can lead to significant flooding, in both the upland coastal areas. Flooding areas is compounded by storm surge. Several hurricanes recent history have exhibited destructive force of compound flooding due precipitation, rainfall-runoff, surge waves. In previous work, various coupled modeling systems been developed model total water levels (defined as tides, waves, surge, rainfall-runoff) for storms. The existing system utilizes a hydrologic domain capture with storms; however, not captured. Herein source/sink term incorporated within hydrodynamic itself over already inundated new algorithm verified several idealized test cases, then it applied Hurricane Irene. Validation indicates that methodology comparable river flux forcing under most conditions allows addition streamflows overland runoff, well actual itself.

Development of a Predictive Finite Element Model For Investigation of Phases Behavior After Cold Rolling Process
One of the surface defects that arise in sheet metal working is when the part removes from the die. Since there are no external forces to make this defect, the origin of such fail is known as residual stress. Residual stress can develop in sheet metal forming due to non uniform deformation. In this paper, the workpiece is carbon steel with different volume fractions and arrangement of ferrite ...

To date, dynamic FE TKR models have mainly been used to simulate implant testing environments (Godest et al, 2002). The ability to simulate the loading conditions and movement constraints experienced by a TKR in vivo would greatly enhance understanding of knee implant mechanics. Recently, dynamic FE models that simulate the implanted environment have begun to appear (Halloran et al, 2005; Barin...

sensitivity analysis. ABSTRACT Anthropometric test devices (ATDs), commonly referred to as crash test dummies, are tools used to conduct aerospace and spaceflight safety evaluations. Finite element (FE) analysis provides an effective complement to these evaluations. In this work a FE model of the Test Device for Human Occupant Restraint (THOR) dummy was developed, calibrated, and validated for ...
