چکیده
Largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides) is an economically important species in China. Contrary to its rapidly increasing yield during the last decades, domestic genetic diversity of largemouth has gradually declined. In this study, 37 single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) markers were developed based on genotyping-by-sequencing data and characterized by genotyping 32 individuals using PCR–restriction fragment length method. The effective number alleles (Ne), observed heterozygosity (Ho), expected (He), polymorphic information content (PIC) these SNPs ranged from 1.168 1.998, 0.156 0.844, 0.146 0.507, 0.134 0.375, respectively. Totally, five loci deviated significantly Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium (p < 0.05), while there existed no linkage disequilibrium at all loci. These novel will lay foundation for future rationally excavation utilization germplasm resources M. salmoides.

Survival of Foul-Hooked Largemouth Bass(Micropterus salmoides)
We conducted a field experiment to determine the survival rate of foul-hooked (hooked external to the oral cavity) largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides) caught and released by recreational anglers. Of 42 largemouth bass caught with hard-plastic baits containing three treble hooks, 15 were hooked only within the mouth and 27 had at least one hook penetrating the external surface of the fish (i...
متن کاملCloning, characterization, expression, and feeding response of thyrotropin receptor in largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides).
Thyrotropin receptor (TSHR) is a G-protein-coupled receptor that regulates the synthesis, storage, and secretion of thyroid hormones in the thyroid tissue. The aims of the present study were to characterize the full-length TSHR cDNA in largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides), and to determine the TSHR gene transcription levels in different tissues. In addition, the response of TSHR transcriptio...
متن کاملGene Expression Networks Underlying Ovarian Development in Wild Largemouth Bass (Micropterus salmoides)
BACKGROUND Oocyte maturation in fish involves numerous cell signaling cascades that are activated or inhibited during specific stages of oocyte development. The objectives of this study were to characterize molecular pathways and temporal gene expression patterns throughout a complete breeding cycle in wild female largemouth bass to improve understanding of the molecular sequence of events unde...
متن کاملInfluence of local adaptation and interstock hybridization on the cardiovascular performance of largemouth bass Micropterus salmoides.
In this study, the cardiovascular response to exhaustive exercise among differentiated stocks of largemouth bass Micropterus salmoides was compared at 10 degrees C and 20 degrees C to assess the level of their local adaptation. In addition, the impact that interstock hybridization had on adaptive differences was assessed using F1 hybrids. To accomplish these assessments, four genetically distin...
