Determining the Most Appropriate Material Substitution by Upcycling and Recycling Methods for The Management of Waste Printed Circuit Boards

In this study, the upcycling and recycling applications for management of waste printed circuit boards (PCBs) were compared through sequential application Streamlined Life Cycle Assessment (S-LCA) Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) techniques. Upcycling determined as gold, copper-tin alloy, lead, copper recovery activated carbon production. And, portland cement, aggregate, sawdust, fiberglass styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) productions taken account applications. At S-LCA stage, CML-IA baseline ReCiPe 2016 methods used characterization. For MCDM environmental, technical economic criteria determined. Remarkable characterization results environmental MCDM. The Entropy method was weighting criteria. TOPSIS to compare alternatives based on weighted study shows that impact categories Abiotic Depletion Potential (element basis), Total Ecotoxicity Human Toxicity are major categories. gold (0.9845) an SBR production (0.7361) a have been first be applied PCBs in terms aspects.
