The energy utilization ratio (ER) quantifies the of a Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM). Calculation ER an SRM can be different from other motors as it has highly non-linear operating characteristics and uses asymmetric bridge converter. In this paper, concept for SRMs been explained first then computation methodology is presented based on co-energy stored in magnetic system. are evaluated ANSYS Maxwell static characterization motor. These quantities computed under dynamic operation drive area flux linkage-current curve to compute utilization. An experimental correlation performed validating proposed drives. Finally, components applied determine control objectives switched reluctance motor improve electromagnetic performance.
