Determination of Polychloroprene Content in Rubber Blend Containing Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer by Infrared Techniques

چکیده

Ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber is used as flexible thermal protection for rocket engines, well in blends with polychloroprene, which can be applied the aeronautical sector, and great potential defense sector. However, there not a considerable number of studies considering both polymers blend. In general, elastomer content quantification done by more complex instrumental methods. When performed Fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy, conventional transmission mode used, usually without including developed methodology error. Therefore, transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) proposed using universal attenuated total reflection mode, sample treatment (pyrolysis) to determine polychloroprene mixture ethylene monomer. accordance spectrometer precision limits data found literature, error analysis shows value close 2%. addition, it has advantage being less methodology. This actual study uses simple FT-IR analytical tool, scarce, especially research community, minor phase within major phase. It valuable weapons reverse engineering, aiming at knowledge new protections.
