چکیده

The determination of various physio-chemical parameters and water quality index Kundapura Taluk uses nine parameters: pH, electrical conductivity, total dissolved solids, hardness, alkalinity, acidity, chlorides, oxygen chemical demand, measured in 40 places. weighted arithmetic (WAWQI) method is used for the calculation index. present study area Udupi district, Karnataka located between a 74°34?40.0? E to 75°4?57.35? longitude, 13°59?33.26? N 13°28?40.82? latitude. According post-summer values places such as MITK, Margoli Kodi have high Kumbashi Amavasyebailu low pH. Places Margoli, Beejadi, Senapura, Kollur show higher E.C, Amparu shows lower value E.C. Alkaline balances pH body, we found alkalinity Kodi, Marvanthe Yedthare, Mullikatte Trasi. All samples with COD content were which diminishes amount D.O water. Pre-summer numerous changes values. In post-summer, level decreases mechanically due increases extraction: it causes cone depression at ground level, creating saltwater intrusion loses its quality, thus pre-treatment additional, post-summer.
