Determination of Phenolics, Antioxidant Activity and Antidiabetic Potential of Sphagneticola calendulacea (L.) Pruski Leaves Grown in Vietnam

Sphagneticola calendulacea (L.) Pruski, a member of the Asteraceae family, is commonly found growing in India, Sri Lanka, China, and Southeast Asian countries. It has been utilized traditional medicine for treating various illnesses many nations. The objective this research was to compare phenolic content, antioxidant activity, inhibitory effect on - glucosidase S. leaf extracts obtained through conventional solvent, ultrasound, enzyme-assisted methods. Eight compounds were quantified extracts, results revealed that methanol extract comprised greatest amount (228.10 g/ml) comparison with other extracts. from ultrasound method exhibited highest ABTS (2,2′-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid)) activity. ethanol presented strongest inhibition -glucosidase. Generally, applications enzyme extraction helped enhance content bioactivities resulting These findings give deeper insight into phenolics health endorsing activities leaves, which beneficial development new drugs disease prevention treatment.
