Determination of phenolic compounds in medicinal preparations by galvanostatic coulometry

In this work, the possibility of using reactions electrogenerated titrants with phenolic compounds was studied and a method for their coulometric determination in medicaments by galvanostatic coulometry developed. The research objects were: rutin, salicylic acid drugs containing such as «Ascorutin», «Salicylic Paste» Ointment» Russian manufacture. Electrogenerated halogens (Cl2, Br2 I2) hexacyanoferrate(III)-ions were used titrants. It found that quantitative acids, optimal reagent is bromine, rutin - bromine iodine, ascorbic any Br2, I2 [Fe(CN)6]3-). correct definition checked «entered-found» method, error does not exceed 2%.
