چکیده
Supraphysiological reactive oxygen species (ROS) has been linked to a variety of diseases, including cancer, inflammation, and neurodegeneration. One the diseases pathophysiologically associated with ROS accumulation is canine distemper (CD). The purpose this study was compare lipid peroxidation antioxidant biomarkers in dogs infected virus (CDV) healthy dogs. animals consisted total 20 dogs, 10 CDV-positive (Trial group) aged 0–12 months different breeds sexes, (Control sexes. Thiobarbituric acid substances (TBARS), glutathione (GSH) superoxide dismutase (SOD) were evaluated commercially available enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kits using serum samples. While activities GSH SOD statistically lower CDV positive compared (p

Molecular and Serological Detection of Canine Distemper Virus (CDV) in Rural Dogs, Iran
Background and Aims: Canine distemper (CD) is a deadly infectious disease of Canidae family. CD is a multi-systemic viral disease and is specified by wide range of clinical symptoms. The manifestations are not always indicative of CD, therefore a laboratory confirmation is necessary for suspected cases. Materials and Methods: Different clinical specimens of 19 CD suspected unvaccinated dogs wer...
متن کاملNitrosative stress indices in dogs with neurological form of canine distemper
This is a prospective, controlled, randomized clinical study to evidence the role of nitrosative stress in development of overt neurological sign of canine distemper (CD). The enrollment of cases wasa made on basis of overt sign of CD (n=139) and the findings were compared with apparently healthy dogs (n=15). The CD specific immunoglobulins resulted in 94 confirmed positive cases. The nitric ox...
متن کاملDistribution of inclusion bodies in tissues from 100 dogs infected with canine distemper virus.
One hundred dogs that were positive for canine distemper virus antigen and inclusion bodies in the tonsils were examined for the distribution of inclusion bodies in various tissues. Inclusion bodies were found in the lungs (70 dogs), brains (20 dogs), urinary bladders (73 dogs), stomachs (78 dogs), spleens (77 dogs), and lymph nodes (81 dogs) of the dogs. Based on these results, the tonsils may...
متن کاملAntibody responses to virion polypeptides in gnotobiotic dogs infected with canine distemper virus.
A radioimmunoprecipitation-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis technique was applied to sera from canine distemper virus-infected dogs. Sera from fatally infected dogs precipitated only the nucleoprotein, the matrix protein, and trace amounts of fusion glycoprotein. Sera from normal convalescent dogs precipitated all five major polypeptides. In contrast, sera from persistently infected dogs were...
متن کاملMolecular and Immunological Investigation of Canine Distemper Virus (CDV) and Its Co- Infection with Canine Parainfluenza Virus Type 2
Background and Objective: Canine distemper (CD) is a highly transmissible serious disease of carnivores. Distemper virus has immunosuppression effects, which, in turn, could lead to opportunistic infections. The present study was performed to detect CDV by the genomic and immunological methods and investigate its co- infection with canine parainfluenza virus type 2 (CPiV-2). Materials and Meth...
