DETERMINATION OF CHLOROPHYLL CONTENT IN SELECTED GRASS COMMUNITIES OF KRKONOŠE MTS. TUNDRA BASED ON LABORATORY SPECTROSCOPY AND AERIAL HYPERSPECTRAL DATA

Abstract. The study focuses on the determination of chlorophyll content in four prevailing grasses relict arctic-alpine tundra located Krkonoše Mountains National Park, Czech Republic. We compared two methods for leaf (LCC) – spectrophotometric laboratory, and LCC assessed by fluorescence portable meter CCM-300. Relationships were established between LCCs vegetation indices calculated from spectra acquired with contact probe coupled an ASD FieldSpec4 Wide-Res spectroradiometer. Canopy contents (CCC) computed green area index (LAI), modelled based field measured spectroradiometer hyperspectral images Headwall Nano-Hyperspec® mounted DJI Matrice 600 Pro drone. calculations are performed datasets June, July August 2020 together separately species months. In general, correlations June work best at both levels: median R2 all was 0.52 level = 0.47 canopy (vegetation spectra). map created results stepwise multiple linear regression. 0.42 when using wavelengths red edge spectral region. attribute weak model performance to a combination several factors: structure may bias laboratory measurements, effects LAI variability CCC, sampling design, probably not covering whole phenology equally studied species.
