چکیده
Despite the beneficial aspect of fish consumption, bioaccumulation toxic metals such as arsenic (As) and mercury (Hg) can enhance health risk for consumers. Arsenic Hg concentrations were measured in edible tissue two targeted organs, namely gill liver longtail tuna species (Thunnus tonggol) from Terengganu waters, including Kuala Besut, Terengganu, Dungun Kemaman. The concentration As analysed by using inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry. mean both elements significantly different (p < 0.05) among locations organs. hierarchy muscle samples > Besut Kemaman Terengganu. all samples, muscle, exceeded permitted level set Malaysia Food Act. Estimate Weekly Intake (EWI) was conducted to assess effect, 63 kg used average body weight Malaysian adults. However, EWI values show that weekly intake does not exceed provisional tolerable limit suggested Agricultural Organization United Nations is considered safe be consumed.

The purpose of this paper was to detail some important biological aspects of T. tonggol in coastal waters of Hormuzgan Province(Persian Gulf and Oman Sea). A total monthly data of 4383 individuals ranging from 25 to 124 cm fork length were collected from April 2015 to March 2016. The data were analyzed with FiSAT II software using the ELEFAN1 package to estimate the population parameters. Th...
متن کاملDevelopment of Formaldehyde Biosensor for Determination of Formalin in Fish Samples; Malabar Red Snapper (Lutjanus malabaricus) and Longtail Tuna (Thunnus tonggol)
Electrochemical biosensors are widely recognized in biosensing devices due to the fact that gives a direct, reliable, and reproducible measurement within a short period. During bio-interaction process and the generation of electrons, it produces electrochemical signals which can be measured using an electrochemical detector. A formaldehyde biosensor was successfully developed by depositing an i...

longtail tuna (thunnus tonggol) is one of the most important and commercial species in the persian gulf and oman sea. in order to come up with the responsible fishing pattern, there was a need to identify some of the biological characteristics and population dynamic parameters. data were collected randomly from six major artisanal fish-landing sites hassineh, kong, bandar abbas, salakh, sirik a...
متن کاملLength frequency, length-weight relationship and catch per unit of effort (CPUE) of Longtail tuna (Thunnus tonggol) and Yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares) caught by purse seine in Oman Sea
Length frequency, length-weight relationship and catch per unit of effort (CPUE) for longtail tuna and yellowfin tuna in purse seine fishing were studied in Oman Sea between July and August 2015. Length range and mean of longtail tuna were obtained 56-98 and 74.13±0.41 cm, respectively. Length range and mean of yellowfin tuna were obtained 51-128 and 74.62±0.46 cm, respectively. The length-weig...
