چکیده
In this study, it was aimed to determine the anti-bacterial activities of plant essential oils such as thyme, rosemary, sage, linden, black seed, bay leaf, peppermint, parsley, cinnamon and oleagen on vancomycin resistant enterococci (VRE) pathogenic microorganisms clinical importance. inhibition zones extract 10 plants prepared at 2.5 5 mg / mlconcentrations VRE various were detected by Disk Diffusion Agar Well Method. Following this, Minimal Inhibition Concentration (MIC) values these extracts determined. The DNA Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) analyzes also performed. According data obtained, determined that rosemary sage showed high antibacterial effect against bacteria. found be most effective strains, well medium-grade effects strains in oleaster, thyme mint extracts. It from different did not cause any change structure DNA. our are especially have potential used treatment VRE. results study should taken into account research drugs can more vitro vivo carried out field.

Eleven essential oils (EOs) were evaluated for their antibacterial properties, against Vancomycin-Resistant Enterococci (VRE) and E. coli O157:H7. EOs were introduced into Brain Heart Infusion agar (BHI) (15ml) at a concentration of 0.25 to 2% (vol/vol) to determine the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) for each pathogen evaluated. Results showe...
متن کاملAntimicrobial activity of some Satureja essential oils.
The genus Satureja is represented by fifteen species of which five are endemic and Satureja pilosa and S. icarica have recently been found as new records for Turkey. Aerial parts of the Satureja pilosa, S. icarica, S. boissieri and S. coerulea collected from different localities in Turkey were subjected to hydrodistillation to yield essential oils which were subsequently analysed by GC and GC/M...
