Determinants of Dental and Oral Hygiene in School-Aged Children

Dental disease is an essential concern due to the vulnerability of school-age group dental and oral health problems. This study analyzes correlation between knowledge attitude toward hygiene, tooth brushing behavior, parental roles with hygiene in school-aged children (10-12 years). research method was descriptive-analytic a cross-sectional design. The population this were students grades 4, 5, 6 at SDN 30 Mataram, totaling 120 people. There 50 respondents simple random sampling. Instruments assess knowledge, attitude, questionnaire. In addition, Oral Hygiene Index-Simplified (OHI-S) measure observation sheet evaluate teeth practice. data analysis technique used Chi-Square determine determinants children. significant health, values sequentially, p=0.006, p=0.000, p=0.000. conclusion, determinant are practice, roles.
