The determinant factors of resource conflict between farmers and herdsmen in Benue State were analysed. Objectives to assess the prevalence state determine most responsible for state. Field survey three hundred eighty-two (382) residents was conducted using questionnaire, interview focus group discussion. Data collected analyzed percentage Factor Analysis. Results showed that such as drought, flood, erosion, pollution, politics, greed, proliferation arms, religion, tribalism, expansion farmland, increases herds, poverty, unemployment, cattle rustling, destruction crops by population growth urbanization are conflict. However, further, analysis result shows only 1.38% respondents posited environmental/climatic factors, 30% economic 32.78% greed/insecurity, 13.75% 22.08% cultural respectively. It concluded human economic, major drivers than environmental like flood draught. promote skill acquisition create jobs engage youths boast economy reduce conflict.
