چکیده

Background The aim of this study was to investigate the diagnostic accuracy KRAS mutation detection using plasma sample patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Methods Databases Pubmed, Embase, Cochrane Library, and Web Science were searched for studies detecting in paired tissue samples NSCLC. Data extracted from each eligible analyzed MetaDiSc STATA. Results After database searching screening pre-defined criteria, 43 identified relevant data extracted. pooling 3341 patients, pooled sensitivity, specificity odds ratio 71%, 94%, 59.28, respectively. Area under curve summary receiver operating characteristic 0.8883. Subgroup analysis revealed that next-generation sequencing outperformed PCR-based techniques NSCLC, specificity, 73%, 82.60, Conclusion Compared tumor sample, showed overall good performance which could serve as surrogate when are not available.

KRAS and BRAF mutations in Iranian colorectal cancer patients: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Background: Mutations in the EGFR signaling pathway play an important role in the development of colorectal cancer (CRC). Mutations in these genes, like KRAS and BRAF, affect the treatment strategies and associated with poor prognosis and relative resistance to anti-EGFR therapies. Our aim was to conduct a systematic and meta-analysis on all studies that have been conducted on the prevalence of...

Chemoradiotherapy alone or in combination with Endostar for patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Previous studies show inconsistent effect estimates for the efficacy of Endostar in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) undergoing chemoradiotherapy. Therefore, this meta-analysis aimed to determine the effectiveness and safety on the basis of data obtained from available randomized controlled trials (RTCs). We find relevant articles reporting the use of Endostar combined ...

Detection of EGFR and KRAS Mutation by Pyrosequencing Analysis in Cytologic Samples of Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

EGFR and KRAS mutations are two of the most common mutations that are present in lung cancer. Screening and detecting these mutations are of issue these days, and many different methods and tissue samples are currently used to effectively detect these two mutations. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the testing for EGFR and KRAS mutations by pyrosequencing method, and compared the yield of cy...

BRAF Mutations in Patients with Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

BACKGROUND BRAF mutations have been well described in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) for several years, but the clinical features of patients harboring BRAF mutations are still not well described. We performed a meta-analysis to identify common clinical features in NSCLC patients carrying BRAF mutations. METHODS We identified clinical studies that examined the association between BRAF mut...
