چکیده
The aim of the present study was to evaluate changes in cutaneous blood flow detected by incoherent optical fluctuation flowmetry (IOFF) diabetic patients with diagnosed microangiopathies. includes 52 type 2 diabetes mellitus (12 males, 40 females, median age 57 (51; 60) years). All were examined using IOFF method functional tests: occlusion test on index finger, local heat dorsum foot, and big toe. divided into groups: 13 both retinopathy nephropathy (Group 2, severe microcirculatory disorders) 39 only 1 microangiopathic complication or without any 1). Local thermal hyperaemia (LTH2_1) higher Group than (p = 0.011). Post-occlusive reactive (PORH_2) 0.009). No When PORH_2 LTH2_1 used combination, area under ROC curve (95% CI) 0.733 (0.62 0.846). Thus, has potential accurately detect abnormalities associated

OBJECTIVE: To determine the level of Lipoprotein (a) in diabetic patients comparing to control group. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This cross-sectional study was conducted on the patients referred to Endocrinology Clinic of Bu Ali-Sina Hospital in 2009. 180 subjects including 90 diabetic and 90 healthy subjects as control group enrolled in this study. All diabetic patients had glycemic control. We ...

UNLABELLED Although macrovascular complications are typical for type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), cerebral microvascular damage develops both in type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) and T2DM. Color Doppler ultrasound is widely used for the examination of large- and medium-sized arteries, whereas SPECT and MRI are capable of identifying disturbances in the circulation of microvessels. Former studies u...
متن کاملThe effect of cinnamon on blood lipids profile in patients with type 2 diabetes
Introduction: Metabolic syndrome is increasing with progressive syrup in all age groups. It has become a serious health problem in the community. Today, a number of researches have focused on determining the anti-fat effects of cheap and highly safe herbal products. Cinnamon, one of these herbs, has the ability to lower blood lipids due to its cinnamaldehyde element. Hence, the aim of this stud...
متن کاملMYH9 gene polymorphisms may be associated with cerebrovascular blood flow in patients with type 2 diabetes.
Genetic factors play an important role in type 2 diabetes (T2D) complications. Alteration of cerebrovascular blood flow (CBF) is a direct result of cerebrovascular diseases. However, few studies have reported the role of genetics on CBF in patients with T2D. We investigated whether single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in metabolic disease genes are associated with CBF in patients with T2D. CB...
