چکیده

The use of drone technology in the construction sector promises faster and more streamlined working practices. Forward-thinking contractors are investing digitizing their operations drones with capability providing real-time site information is already a reality. Deploying for inspections can help safety managers avoid placing workers precarious situations ability to quickly gather aerial data be invaluable. This study focuses on creating flying game inspecting virtual identifying potential hazards. single-player, user-focused built using Unity engine WebGL which renders interactive 3D graphics played modern web browsers without plug-ins. game’s aim give simulated experience piloting it identify hazards an active site, educating players effectiveness this task, real-world risk collision, damage or injury. Preliminary findings from 47 purposive sampled participants revealed that was engaging; found intuitive easy pilot drone; environment were realistic; satisfies main highlighting benefits site. target audience user usability testing managers, professionals students industry. skills acquired playing educational inspection monitoring could successfully applied when real live significance learning how fly during Covid-19 pandemic where need physically distanced timely relevant.

Designing for Automated Construction

The majority of automated construction research and development has been bottom-up, from the construction / engineering side rather than top-down from the design end The first part of this paper is devoted to the design of a research programme which seeks to address topics related to the conceptual design of robotic systems for construction, and developing overall design principles for top-down...

On the Inspection Game

The Inspection Game is a multistage game between a customs inspector and a smuggler, first studied by Melvin Dresher and Michael Maschler in the 1960’s. An extension allowing the smuggler to act more than once, treated by Sakaguchi in a special case, is solved. Also, a more natural version of Sakaguchi’s problem is solved in the special case where the smuggler may act at each stage.

Theory as Game: Designing the Game Game

ABSTRACT Is there a way to analyze games by the means of a game? Is there a way to brainstorm game ideas and design solutions through theory? Finnish scholar and game designer Aki Järvinen presents an approach where a card game meets design meets game studies. The approach presented in the paper is similar to Scott McCloud’s Understanding Comics: a theory of comics in the form of a comic book. ...

A Game Theoretic Approach to Autonomous Two-Player Drone Racing

To be successful in multi-player drone racing, a player must not only follow the race track in an optimal way, but also avoid collisions with the opponents. Since unveiling one’s own strategy to the adversaries in not desirable, this requires each player to independently predict the other players future actions. Nash equilibria are a powerful tool to model this and similar multi-agent coordinat...
