Designing and connectivity checking of implicit social networks from the user-item rating data

Implicit Social Network is a connected social structure among group of persons, where two them are linked if they have some common interest. One real-life example such networks the implicit network customers an online commercial house, there exists edge between like similar items. Such often useful for different applications as target advertisement, viral marketing, etc. In this article, we study fundamental problems in direction. The first one that, given user-item rating data E-Commerce how can design its users and second at time designing itself obtain connectivity information users. Formally, call problem User Design Problem with Connectivity Checking Problem. For problem, propose three algorithms, namely ‘Exhaustive Search Approach’, ‘Clique Addition ‘Matrix Multiplication-Based Approach’. approaches. sequential approach: then checking, other concurrent approach, which basically incremental algorithm that performs checking simultaneously. Proposed methodologies experimented publicly available datasets Flixter, Movielens, Epinions. Reported computational shows Approach’ fastest network. approach faster than one. We also investigated scalability issues algorithms by increasing size.
