Design of Low Cross-Polarization Tri-Reflector CATR with Standard Quadric Surfaces Working in Terahertz

In this paper, a tri-reflector compact antenna test range (CATR) consisting of main parabolic reflector with square aperture 3 m in side length and two sub-reflectors rotationally standard quadric surfaces working terahertz is proposed. By using the equivalent paraboloid theory cross-polarization elimination conditions then combining appropriate shaped feed, low good quiet zone (QZ) performance system are achieved. The simulated results demonstrate that isolation >37 dB peak-to-peak amplitude (phase) ripple <1.8 (13°) can be achieved on principal cuts QZ at 100–500 GHz. At same time, usage ratio CATR reach 75%. proposed composed not only exhibits but also greatly reduces manufacturing difficulty construction cost system.
