Design of Intelligent Rehabilitation Evaluation Scale for Stroke Patients Based on Genetic Algorithm and Extreme Learning Machine

The rehabilitation of stroke patients is a long-term process. To realize the automation and quantification upper limb assessment patients, an automatic prediction model evaluation scale was established by extreme learning machine (ELM) according to Fugl-Meyer motor function (FMA). Four movements in shoulder elbow joints FMA were selected. Two acceleration sensors fixed on forearm arm hemiplegic side used collect motion data 35 patients. After preprocessing feature extraction, selection carried out based genetic algorithm ELM, single-action comprehensive established, respectively. results show that can accurately automatically predict score FMA, root mean square error 2.16. This method breaks through limitations subjectivity, time-consuming dependence doctors traditional evaluation. It be easily rehabilitation.
