Design of an Intelligent Platoon Transit System towards Transportation Electrification

The full implementation of electric public transport is a key step for the industry to move toward electrification and achieve carbon neutrality. However, in face time-varying demands high-quality service requirements, traditional transit systems are difficult ascend as preferred mode travel due constraints fixed vehicle capacity multiline transfers. With advent modular technology, it becoming more realistic develop an entirely new transportation system based on vehicles (EMVs). This study proposes novel intelligent platoon (IPTS), its overall concept operating elaborated at strategic level. In particular, electrical, modular, autonomous should be designed adaptive adjustment possible en route transfers, which significantly improves convenience, flexibility, economy transport.
