چکیده
This article presents an energy regulator based on a Model Predictive Control (MPC) algorithm for Voltage Source Converter (VSC). The MPC is formulated to optimise the converter performance according weights defined in objective function that trades off additional features, such as current harmonic distortion, reactive power tracking and DC bus voltage oscillation. Differently from most approaches found research literature, proposed here considers coupling dynamics between AC sides of VSC. study focused example case single-phase VSC, which nonlinear relationship its sustained double-line frequency disturbance bus. To reduce burden MPC, controller benefit slow system. Thus, cascaded structure typically used control VSCs kept set at reduced sampling while relies fast inner controller. computational further by using linear time-varying approximation. presented detail experimental validation showing provided.

Model Predictive Control of Distributed Energy Resources with Predictive Set-Points for Grid-Connected Operation
This paper proposes an MPC - based (model predictive control) scheme to control active and reactive powers of DERs (distributed energy resources) in a grid - connected mode (either through a bus with its associated loads as a PCC (point of common coupling) or an MG (micro - grid)). DER may be a DG (distributed generation) or an ESS (energy storage system). In the proposed scheme, the set - poin...
متن کاملinvestigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures
deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
Adaptive model predictive control for constrained, linear time varying systems
We consider a discrete-time, linear time varying (LTV), multiple input, multiple output (MIMO) system with nu inputs and ny outputs. The system is known to be asymptotically stable, but the exact dynamics and the way they change over time are not known. We denote the vector of control inputs at time step t ∈ Z by u(t) = [u1(t), . . . , unu(t)] T , where ui(t) ∈ R, i = 1, . . . , nu are the indi...
متن کاملControl System Design for a Surface Effect Ship by Linear-Quadratic Regulator Method
In this paper, the main goal is to reduce the heave motion between a surface effect ship (SES) and a wind turbine in order to safely transfer equipment and person to SES. For this purpose, an LQR control system is designed to damp the vertical motion of the surface effect ship in critical sea states including high-frequency and high amplitude regular waves as well as high frequency irregular wa...

This paper presents a grid-tied cascade H-bridge inverter with predictive current control technique. The proposed 15-level cascade inverter consists of three H-bridge inverters with separated DC sources. At the output of the cascade inverter an L filter is used as a grid filter. The cascade inverter is controlled by the mean of RT-Lab. The predictive current regulator and one-phase synchronous ...
