Design of a high performance AC-DC LED driver based on SEPIC topology

Light emitting diodes (LEDs) are current driven devices. So, it is essential to maintain the stability of LED voltage and current. Variation temperature may cause instabilities bifurcations in driver. Driving LEDs from an offline power source faces design challenges like have low harmonics input current, achieve high factor, efficiency constant ensure long lifetime. This paper proposes technique reduction by using parametric optimization Single ended primary inductor converter (SEPIC) based Without SEPIC parameters energy will not be properly transferred load this un-transferred transmitted source. Consequently, quality hampered i.e. contaminate Focussing this, has presented a non-isolated integrated-stage single-switch driver operating discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) incorporating control circuit with soft start mechanism. achieved good (90.6%) high-power factor (0.98) reduced (3.35%). System been determined simulation studies performed confirm validity circuit. A laboratory prototype built.
