چکیده
This paper presents a variable-gain low-noise amplifier (VGLNA) based on an adaptive bias (ADB) circuit for the radar receiver front end. The ADB processes signal separated by coupler at LNA output port. First, rectifies coupled into positive DC voltage through rectifier, which is then inverted to control junction-gate field-effect transistor (JFET). voltage-controlled current of JFET flows voltage-divider network and finally produces biasing BJT base termination, decreases with increase in input RF power. proposed VGLNA operates automatically high gain low power power, providing wider dynamic range as compared constant-bias counterpart. For validation, prototype fabricated measured 6 GHz. As observed, generated changed from 858 mV 798 increases −50 dBm 0 dBm. result, represented P1dB point (IP1dB) has 6.5 dB, while still maintains 15.15 dB

A wideband CMOS variable gain low noise amplifier suitable for multi-standard radio applications between 75 MHz and 3 GHz is presented. Wideband matching to 50 Ohm (single ended) is achieved using a common-drain feedback stage whereas variable gain is realized using a resistive attenuator. The circuit has been designed in a 65 nm CMOS process and achieves 22 dB maximum gain, 29 dB gain range, 3...

متن کاملDesign of Low Noise Amplifier for Uwb Radio Receiver
An Ultra Wide Band CMOS Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) design is presented in this paper. Due to low power consumption and extremely high data rates the UWB system is bound to be popular in the end user market. The LNA is the first stage after antenna in an UWB transceiver. The LNA is accountable for providing enough gain to the signal with the bare minimum distortion. In this work we have designed ...
