Design, Development and in vitro Evaluation of Hydrogels Prepared by Free Radical Polymerization of Acrylic Acid (AAc) Containing a Model Antidiabetic Drug

Abstract: Introduction: The controlled release of medicaments in the management diabetes is desirable to have a better therapeutic activity drug. Objectives: In present study hydrogels were prepared as drug delivery system taking Rosiglitazone model Materials and Methods: Hydrogels created using Free Radical Polymerization approach, with crosslinker N, N′-Methylene bisacrylamide serving binding agent for polymerization. To create polymeric network, ammonium persulphate has been used polymerization inducer AAc poly (acrylic acid) existence polyvinyl alcohol (PVP).
