Design and simulation of stand-alone photovoltaic system supplying BTS in Iraq

The problem of power outages is still present in most cities Iraq as a result the wars and crises experienced by this makes it difficult to provide continuous electric electrical devices. All telecommunications companies, including Zain, Asia cell, etc used diesel generators an alternative source national electricity grid, but will adversely affect environment humans toxic emissions associated with use these generators. In paper, stand-alone PVsystem was designed simulated supply base transceiver station (BTS) Iraq. A BTS Jadriyah, Baghdad 4.177 kW load belong Zain Telecommunication Company taken case study paper. meteorological data Jadriyah region were from weather ministry Sciences Technology for year 2017. simulation carried out using Pvsyst program. financial analysis proposed system shows that has small kWh unit price (0.108 $/kWh).
