DESIGN AND SIMULATION OF AN ON-GRID PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM

ABSTRACT- In this paper, the design and simulation of an On-grid photovoltaic system for faculty Engineering, Abuja campus, University Port Harcourt (Latitude: 4.78°S, Longitude: 7.01°E) was researched in-order to verify alternate power source possibility that can supplement inconsistent from (Power holding company Nigeria) grid faculty. The Solar modules are mounted in a fixed tilt orientation 4-parallel strings 15 panels series on roof-top is also designed with two - parallel string nine Tesla Powerwall batteries battery bank storage system. Inverters used 9.9kW battery-based grid-tied inverters stacked inbuilt Maximum point tracker, MPPT. reinjection on-grid as net-meter not since Power Holding Company Nigeria, PHCN does support Net- metering.
