Design and Simulation of an Octopus-like AUV

With the continuous advancement of technology, human exploration and excavation ocean have deepened. The use Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) to assist replace operations in complex marine environments is becoming increasingly popular. This paper presents design modeling an octopus-like Vehicle with multiple functions. Kinematics simulation vehicle also conducted. study begins by investigating current research status Unmanned various countries, followed proposing improvement plan based on analysis advantages disadvantages different types Vehicles. Subsequently, inspired body structure octopus, a three-dimensional model created using SolidWorks. then imported into Adams for dynamics simulation. Constraints, drives, forces are applied simulate underwater environment. results demonstrate that designed octopus robot can successfully perform tasks, including ascending, descending, harmonic motion, turning sample collection.
