Design and Experiments of a Double-Cutterbar Combine Header Used in Wheat Combine Harvesters

To solve the problems of congestion and increased power consumption wheat combine harvesters (WCHs) caused by excessive feed rate, this paper proposes a method to reduce rate decreasing length stalk designs double-cutterbar header (DCH). Using threshing test bench taking stalk, speed tangential rotor as influencing factors conveying time index, influence different parameters on performance was analyzed. The optimal were obtained: 8 kg/s, 380 mm, cutting drum 554 r/min, 8.089 s. optimized parameter combination tested verified, results show that relative error with predicted value 0.198%, proving reliability parameters. critical components DCH designed, movement process profiling mechanism simulated using ADAMS software, structural dimensions determined. field WCH carried out. showed loss stubble height met operation quality requirements. At same speed, fuel 11.2% less than conventional header, providing technical reference for efficient harvest WCHs.
