Design and Economic Analysis of a Grid-Connected Photovoltaic System in Saudi Arabia using PVsyst Software

This paper presents the design and analysis of a grid-connected photovoltaic system (GCPV) in Al Juaima'h, Dammam, Kingdom Saudi Arabia. The main objective this study is to suitable GCPV investigate potential electricity costs CO2 emission reduction by using PVsyst software. sizing proposed has been conducted mathematical calculation It shows that both simulation software obtained same result 1920 PV panels 8 inverters required for location. Therefore, further 960 kWp simulated From simulation, it found performances array generation 1649.9 MWh/year, energy injects into grid 1616.9 performance ratio 82.3%, payback period 6.9 years 29878.2 t. can provide significant cost saving consumer.
