Design and Analysis of a Sub-Surface Longline Marine Aquaculture Farm for Co-Existence with Offshore Wind Farm

چکیده

There has been growing interest recently in hybrid installations integrating the offshore wind farm and aquaculture as co-existence while optimizing ocean space use. The marine farms beyond coastal or sheltered areas will require mooring to ensure station-keeping of system during storms. In present work, a sub-surface longline is installed fixed at distance from foundations. designed cultivate oysters multi-compartment bags attached longlines vertically. with cultivating area 200 m × supported by various lines made polypropylene buoys that moored catenary arrangements. Drag coefficients full-scale oyster bag wave current are determined using results basin tests. A lumped model developed validated complete for partial farm. used simulate coupled responses whole site extreme waves currents 50-year return period. strength fatigue designs evaluated against industry standards confirmed comply design requirements.

Automated grid connection design process for offshore wind farm clusters

An automated grid connection design process for offshore wind farm clusters that takes into account the variability of wind and power demand/prices is demonstrated on a 7200 MW case study inspired by Dogger Bank, using the Net-Op planning tool. Two modelling approaches for demand, generation and prices are outlined and compared for this case study. Both approaches result in the same optimal off...

A Response Surface-Based Cost Model for Wind Farm Design

A Response Surface-Based Wind Farm Cost (RS-WFC) model is developed for the engineering planning of wind farms. The RS-WFC model is developed using Extended Radial Basis Functions (E-RBF) for onshore wind farms in the U.S. This model is then used to explore the influences of different design and economic parameters, including number of turbines, rotor diameter and labor cost, on the cost of a w...

A New Control Method for Smoothing PMSG-based Offshore Wind Farm Output Power

Nowadays, propagation of wind turbines make challenges to supply safe power to the grid. Because of wind speed changes, supervisors are concerned to wind turbines, be able to produce appropriate electric power during the wind speed changes. As a matter of fact, investors are mostly like to invest on offshore wind farms, because of their more stable and continuous wind speed rather than onshore ...

Analysis and simulation of dynamic performance for DFIG-based wind farm connected to a distrubition system

Local renewable resources such as wind and solar are often available in remote locations. Wind farms consist of many individual wind turbines which are connected to the electric power transmission network. A wind farm can use the wind resources from a certain area efficiently. Double-fed induction generator (DFIG) is a generating principle widely used in wind turbine (WT). DFIG are ab...

Improvement of the Wind Farm Model Flap for Offshore Applications

The wind farm program FLaP (Farm Layout Program), developed at the University of Oldenburg, has been extended to improve the description of wake development in offshore conditions. Especially the low ambient turbulence and the effect of atmospheric stability have been addressed. Model results have been compared with measured vertical wake profiles and mean turbulence intensities from the Danish...
