Design, Analysis, and Testing of a Scaled Propeller for an Innovative Regional Turboprop Aircraft

This paper describes the design, numerical analyses, and wind tunnel tests of scaled model a propeller serving as propulsive element for experimental an advanced regional turboprop aircraft with engines installed on horizontal tailplane tips. The design has been performed by complying thrust similarity from full-scale requirements. Numerical analyses high-fidelity aerodynamic solver confirmed that initial made XROTOR would achieve expected performance. Finally, strengthened version manufactured via 3D printing tested in tunnel. Test data include measurements well normal force at different angles attack. Good agreement between results observed, enabling to be used confidently powered test campaign.
