Smith, 1874 are described from state Jalisco, Mexico. marysolae sp. nov. can be identified by the presence small projections or carinae on pleonites 1−2, with first antenna being composed 12 articles and second 15 articles. The maxilla bearing 2−3 distal pappose setae, propodus in male gnathopod is hammer-shaped. Conversely, H. morronei nov., dorsal absent 10 14 always bears two hatchet-shaped. Both distinguishable other found Mexico antenna. In these species, approximately half as long total body length, peduncle comprises −15 articles; whereas, Mexican it shorter maximum Here, we add to four previously necessary increase knowledge alpha taxonomy this group crustaceans compensate for biodiversity genus underestimated.

متن کاملThe freshwater amphipods Hyalella Smith, 1874 in Chile (Crustacea: Amphipoda)
The Chilean fauna of amphipods has been poorly studied. Freshwater amphipods in Chile have a single genus in epigean environments. Seven species of the genus Hyalella are reported for Chile: H. simplex; H. fossamancinii, H. kochi; H. chiloensis; H. costera; H. araucana, and H. franciscae. A short diagnosis, a key and figures are given for each species.

متن کاملA new species of Hyalella from the Andes in Perú (Crustacea: Amphipoda: Hyalellidae).
Hyalella pauperocavae n. sp. from Huancayo, Perú, is described. Five other epigean freshwater amphipods have been described from Peru (excluding Lake Titicaca), but the lack of type material and poor descriptions do not allow the assignment of the species described here to any of the names known for the area.
