چکیده
Abstract A subloading-friction model is formulated to describe the smooth transient variation from static friction kinetic friction, recovery after sliding velocity decreases, and accumulation of displacement under cyclic loading contact stress. In past relevant studies, however, formulation used for simulations limited hypoelastic-based plasticity framework, validation test data metal-to-metal friction. this study, based on a hyperelastic-based framework adopted. fields civil, geotechnical, agricultural engineering, terramechanics, interaction between soils metals critical, as reflected in construction machinery, foundation piles, retaining walls. The validity describing various sands verified by experimental monotonic loadings.

Constitutive equation of friction based on the subloading-surface concept
The subloading-friction model is capable of describing static friction, the smooth transition from static to kinetic friction and the recovery to static friction after sliding stops or sliding velocity decreases. This causes a negative rate sensitivity (i.e. a decrease in friction resistance with increasing sliding velocity). A generalized subloading-friction model is formulated in this article...
متن کاملOn Friction Compensation without Friction Model
This paper presents a new methodology for friction compensation that is not based on any friction model. This is done by using finite-terms Fourier series to approximate the friction term. Updating laws for the coefficients of the series are easily derived from a Lyapunov approach to guarantee asymptotic convergence of the tracking error. Computer simulations are then proposed in which friction...
متن کاملFriction Model Based on Tensor Product Transformation
Friction is a very old and universal issue in all mechanical systems. Since friction is non-linear, it is an ever challenging problem. Several empirical nonlinear friction models have been proposed in the technical literature. This paper does not propose any new model but it presents a new, tensor product (TP) based representation of the existing friction models which is suitable for control de...
متن کاملAdvances on LuGre Friction Model
LuGre friction model is an ordinary differential equation that is widely used in describing the friction phenomenon for mechanical systems. The importance of this model comes from the fact that it captures most of the friction behavior that has been observed including hysteresis. In this paper, we study some aspects related to the hysteresis behavior induced by the LuGre friction model.
