Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans of the breast: A case report of a rare breast tumour

Introduction: Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is an intermediate and slow-growing sarcoma, arising most commonly in the trunk extremities rarely breast. It may be recurrent, but metastasis rare. Excision with good resection margins reduces rate of recurrence. Case Presentation: A 28-year-old lady presented a painless lump left breast 16 years duration. Examination revealed ulcerated firm mass, well defined, perilesional nodules on skin Wedge biopsy favoured Borderline Phylloides Tumour over DFSP. Patient was offered mastectomy histology specimen confirmed Fibrosarcomatous Conclusion: This stresses importance diagnosing rare tumour. very important because it show similar appearance to other benign malignant lesions, which makes clear role pathological investigation make definitive diagnosis.
