Derivation of instantaneous unit hydrographs using linear reservoir models

Abstract In this research, a new conceptual model for producing instantaneous unit hydrographs (IUHs) is introduced by linear combination of the Nash model, which assumes that discharge from reservoir function its storage, and called inter-connected (ICLRM), difference storage adjacent downstream reservoir. By employing these assumptions, system first-order differential equations with three degrees freedom (storage coefficient, number reservoirs, weighting coefficient) obtained as governing equation proposed model. This may be considered general form two models therefore capable simulating IUHs laying between models. To show capabilities curvilinear soil conservation service (SCS) are simulated using dimensionless Moreover, several real were compared Nash, ICLRM, SCS The results yields more accurate to other studied IUHs.
