Demonstration Experiments on Grain Refinement Caused by Vibration Mold Using Ammonium Chloride Solution

چکیده

For the purpose of understanding mechanism grain refinement in cast metal by mechanical vibration, demonstration tests were conducted using an ammonium chloride solution. Ammonium solution and molds with various shape prepared for water model experiment. In case open mold, crystals crystallized on mold wall grew toward center without vibration. However, when vibration was applied, countless generated at upper side immediately after pouring. a full plugged no wave convection occurred even added, behavior seen similar to When only found move from into weir set riser, it helped prevent generation riser migrating specimen. used Al–2%Cu alloy, specimen did not become refined as experiments.
