Delamination of Nickel–Cobalt Oxyhydroxides for Electrochemical Energy Storage Applications

Nickel–cobalt oxyhydroxide has been delaminated by tetrabutylammonium (TBA+) intercalation in aqueous media. The electrochemical performance of the different materials obtained during delamination evaluated, with special emphasis on effect intercalated species and their influence behavior material, toward energy storage applications. Delamination TBAOH, reported for first time nickel–cobalt media, is an excellent route to increase number electrochemically active sites enhance capacity oxyhydroxide. Results show from 112 mA·h·g–1 1 M LiOH at A·g–1 nondelaminated precursor 165 after exfoliation restacking. Thus, carefully designed a promising electrode storage.
