Degradation of dye containing in textile wastewater by sequential process: photocatalytic and biological treatment

نویسندگان

چکیده

In this research, a combined photocatalytic and biological treatment is proposed for the elimination of pollutants present in textile wastewater using natural erionite zeolite (PE) aluminum oxide (PA) synthesized by sol-gel method as photocatalysts, solar radiation. Both catalysts were characterized XRD, SEM, EDS. For two bacterial consortium used: BC1 (Escherichia coli N16, Serratia k120, Pseudomonas putida B03 Enterobacter hormaechei), BC2 Mc107, N9, hormaechei Mc9). The microbiological treatments carried out initially separately subsequently sequential manner, first followed to determine if synergistic effect was achieved. Comparing performance, showed higher performance dyes degradation (54.75%) than alumina (28.62%). While process, decreased dye concentration 56.93% 53.56%. Finally, best process PA+BC1 reaching 64.62%, showing that application both processes promotes decolorization wastewater. water resulting from photocatalysis-microbiological tested toxicity Daphnia magna, obtaining none effluents shows toxicity.

Biological Treatment of a Synthetic Dye Water and an Industrial Textile Wastewater Containing Azo Dye Compounds

In this research, the ability of anaerobic and aerobic biological sludges to reduce and stabilize azo dye compounds was studied. Synthetic dye solutions and an industrial textile wastewater were both treated using anaerobic and aerobic biomass, separately and in sequential step-treatment processes. The primary objective was to reduce the wastewater color to an intensity that complies with the V...

Treatment of synthetic textile wastewater containing dye mixtures with microcosms

The aim was to assess the ability of microcosms (laboratory-scale shallow ponds) as a post polishing stage for the remediation of artificial textile wastewater comprising two commercial dyes (basic red 46 (BR46) and reactive blue 198 (RB198)) as a mixture. The objectives were to evaluate the impact of Lemna minor L. (common duckweed) on the water quality outflows; the elimination of dye mixture...

Degradation of a textile reactive azo dye by a combined biological-photocatalytic process: Candida tropicalis Jks2 -Tio2/Uv

In the present study, the decolorization and degradation of Reactive Black 5 (RB5) azo dye was investigated by biological, photocatalytic (UV/TiO2) and combined processes. Application of Candida tropicalis JKS2 in treatment of the synthetic medium containing RB5 indicated complete decolorization of the dye with 200 mg/L in less than 24 h. Degradation of the aromatic rings, resulting from the de...
