چکیده
BACKGROUND The metal–acid bifunctional catalysts are widely used in many industrially significant chemical processes, including hydroisomerization of n-hexane. Deactivation and regeneration extrudates was investigated continuous n-hexane a fixed-bed reactor. Four Pt/H-Beta-25 containing 30% Bindzil binder were prepared with the same composition controlled metal deposition. RESULTS Different preparation steps led to differences mechanical strength, Pt particle size, acidity metal-to-acid site (cPt/cAS) ratio proximity between two types active sites. A very slow deactivation high selectivity C6 isomers obtained when deposited on H-Beta-25 zeolite. CONCLUSION Initial desired products correlated physicochemical properties catalysts. Location has larger influence catalyst rather than or proximity. Decline conversion changes textural deactivated catalyst, respectively. © 2021 Authors. Hydroisomerization of n-Hexane Using Acidified Metal-Organic Framework and Platinum Nanoparticles.
Exceptionally high surface area and ordered nanopores of a metal-organic framework (MOF) are exploited to encapsulate and homogeneously disperse a considerable amount of phosphotungstic acid (PTA). When combined with platinum nanoparticles positioned on the external surface of the MOF, the construct shows a high catalytic activity for hydroisomerization of n-hexane, a reaction requiring hydroge...
متن کامل1 Catalytic behavior of alkali - treated Pt / HMOR in n - hexane hydroisomerization
Bifunctional Pt-HMOR catalysts were prepared by incipient wetness impregnation of various desilicated MOR obtained by alkaline treatment using NaOH concentrations ranging from 0.1 to 0.5 M. The zeolite structural changes upon modification were investigated by several techniques including powder X-ray diffraction, Al and Si MAS-NMR spectroscopy, N2 adsorption, pyridine adsorption followed by inf...
متن کاملBinder Effects in SiO2‐ and Al2O3‐Bound Zeolite ZSM‐5‐Based Extrudates as Studied by Microspectroscopy
Microspectroscopic methods were explored to investigate binder effects occurring in ZSM-5-containing SiO2- and Al2O3-bound millimetre-sized extrudates. Using thiophene as a selective probe for Brønsted acidity, coupled with time-resolved in situ UV/Vis and confocal fluorescence microspectroscopy, variations in reactivity and selectivity between the two distinct binder types were established. It...
متن کاملZnS nano-architectures: photocatalysis, deactivation and regeneration.
An "infinite recycling" method for enhancing the durable applications of a ZnS nano-photocatalyst is shown. Based on the finding of thermodynamic stable nanophase of ZnS, we designed a strategy in which the deactivated ZnS nano-photocatalyst could be recovered into its original state. This ZnS photocatalyst can be used repeatedly without being released into environment as nano-waste. The strate...
