چکیده

The tree tomato (Solanum betaceum Cav.) is an underutilized fruit crop native to the Andean region and phylogenetically related potato. Tree fruits have a high amount of nutrients bioactive compounds. However, so far there are no studies at genome or transcriptome level for this species. We performed de novo assembly annotation purple-fruited (A21) orange-fruited (A23) accessions. A total 174,252 194,417 transcripts were assembled with average length 851 849 bp. 34,636 36,224 showed significant similarity known proteins. Among annotated unigenes, 22,096 23,095 assigned Gene Ontology (GO) term 14,035 14,540 found Clusters Orthologous Group (COG) classifications. Furthermore, 155 161 KEGG pathways. carotenoid biosynthetic process GO terms significantly enriched in accession A21. Finally, 68,647 intraspecific single-nucleotide variations (SNVs) almost 2 million interspecific SNVs identified. results study provide wealth genomic data genetic improvement tomato.

De novo transcriptome assembly of two different apricot cultivars

Apricot (Prunus armeniaca) belonging to the Prunus species is a popular kind of stone fruit tree. Apricot is native to Armenia and is currently cultivated in many countries with climates adaptable for apricot growth. In general, fresh fruits as well as dried apricot are produced. However, the information associated with genes and genetic markers for apricot is very limited. In this study, we ca...

De novo transcriptome assembly of two different Prunus salicina cultivars

Plum is a globally grown stone fruit and can be divided into several species. In particular, the Prunus salicina, which is native to China, is widely grown in many fruit orchards in Korea and Japan, as well as the United States and Australia. The transcriptome data for Prunus salicina has not been reported to our knowledge. In this study, we performed de novo transcriptome assembly for two sele...

De novo transcriptome assembly of two different Prunus mume cultivars

Prunus mume, belonging to the Prunus genus, is an Asian tree, and its common names are Chinese plum and Japanese plum. P. mume are cultivated for fruit production as well as ornamental purposes. In this study, we conducted de novo transcriptome assembly for two selected P. mume cultivars referred to as Takada and Wallyoung (commercially important cultivars for fruit production and ornamental tr...

Phenolic composition and antioxidant capacity of yellow and purple-red Ecuadorian cultivars of tree tomato (Solanum betaceum Cav.).

Tree tomato fruits from the yellow giant, giant purple and New Zealand purple cultivars, cultivated in Ecuador were analysed for their phenolic composition and antioxidant capacity. Twelve hydroxycinnamoyl derivatives and four anthocyanins (in the purple cultivars) were detected and identified. The hydroxycinnamoyl derivatives mostly derived from caffeic acid, being 3-O-caffeoylquinic acid and ...

De novo transcriptome assembly of two contrasting pumpkin cultivars.

Cucurbita pepo (squash, pumpkin, gourd), a worldwide-cultivated vegetable of American origin, is extremely variable in fruit characteristics. However, the information associated with genes and genetic markers for pumpkin is very limited. In order to identify new genes and to develop genetic markers, we performed a transcriptome analysis (RNA-Seq) of two contrasting pumpkin cultivars. Leaves and...
