Day-Ahead Scheduling of On-Load Tap Changer Transformer and Switched Capacitors by Multi-Pareto Optimality

In this study, a multi-objective optimization method is proposed to solve day-ahead voltage control problems in distribution systems. The main purpose determine the optimal schedule for on-load tap changer (OLTC) settings at sub-station and switched capacitors (SC) based on load forecasting. criteria presented study include: (1) minimizing deviations transformer bus, (2) total power loss. method, Pareto front Manhattan distance are combined as indices assess select best solution. Multi-Pareto optimality used improve performance of scheduling strategy. network components were modeled by DIgSILENT Power Factory 15.2, while algorithm was implemented MATLAB 2016a software package. Additionally, effects different distributed generation (DG) grid-connected points operation scenarios examined. efficiency verified using an IEEE 33 BUS test system. Compared with local level (LVL) reactive device (RPDC) methods, delivered percentage reductions all buses, variations, (3) system loss, (4) difference values up 160.93%, 31.16%, 10.35%, 434.34%, respectively.
