Day-ahead offering strategy in the market for concentrating solar power considering thermoelectric decoupling by a compressed air energy storage

Due to limited fossil fuel resources, a growing increase in energy demand and the need maintain positive environmental effects, concentrating solar power (CSP) plant as promising technology has driven world find new sustainable competitive methods for production. The scheduling capability of CSP equipped with thermal storage (TES) surpasses photovoltaic (PV) unit augments sustainability system performance. However, restricting application compared PV due its high investment is challenging issue. This paper presents model assemble combined heat (CHP) enhancing utilization reduce overall cost plant, thus, benefits proved by researches can be implemented more economically. Moreover, compressed air (CAES) used CSP-TES-CHP order that thermoelectric decoupling CHP facilitated. Therefore, virtual (VPP) created suitable design large grids, which trade electricity response market without restraint constraint. Furthermore, day-ahead offering strategy VPP modeled mixed integer linear programming (MILP) problem goal maximizing profit market. simulation results prove efficiency proposed model. 2% maximum 6% price per day CAES.
