Data-Over-Sound With PMUTs

چکیده
Data-over-sound is an emerging technology for digital communication which uses frequencies at the upper bounds of human hearing, usually between 15 kHz to 25 kHz. We report a successful development Piezoelectric Micromachined Ultrasound Transducers (PMUTs) low-power data-over-sound applications. thin films used in PMUTs can have high residual tensile stresses ranging from 300MPa 1.5GPa. These effect increasing resonant transducers, making it challenge fabricate low frequency devices. Using optimum dimensions by estimating net stress fabricated diaphragms, transducers suitable range 17 21 were fabricated, capable generating as much 83 dB sound pressure level distance 5 cm continuous operation.

Exploratory Sound Analysis: Sonifying Data about Sound
Sound is commonly analysed subjectively by listening to it. However, when we want to analyse a sound objectively, we often switch domains, and change to visual or numerical displays. While it is likely that, generally speaking, the visual sense dominates other senses, when the data being explored are sound the question naturally arises as to whether these data may be statistically represented i...
متن کاملSound and Complete Equational Reasoning over Comodels
Comodels of Lawvere theories, i.e. models in Set , model state spaces with algebraic access operations. Standard equational reasoning is known to be sound but incomplete for comodels. We give two sound and complete calculi for equational reasoning over comodels: an inductive calculus for equality-on-the-nose, and a coinductive/inductive calculus for equality modulo bisimulation which captures b...
متن کاملTemporal Control over Sound Synthesis Processes
This article addresses the problem of the representation of time in computer-assisted sound composition. We try to point out the specific temporal characteristics of sound synthesis processes, in order to propose solutions for a compositional approach using symbolic models and

Background music is often used to generate a specific atmosphere or to draw our attention to specific events. For example in movies or computer games it is often the accompanying music that conveys the emotional state of a scene and plays an important role for immersing the viewer or player into the virtual environment. In view of home-made videos, slide shows, and other consumer-generated visu...
