Low body mass index (BMI) is associated with poor outcomes in patients who undergo various cardiac interventions. Studies on elevated BMI have produced mixed results. Our study aims to evaluate the impact of obesity in-hospital undergoing transcatheter mitral valve repair using MitraClip US. National Inpatient Sample (NIS) database (2016-2020) was analyzed identify underwent MitraClip. After excluding <18 years, protein-energy malnutrition and rapid weight loss, final population classified into Obese (BMI ≥ 30 Kg/m2) Non-obese (Normal/Overweight) 18.5 -29.9 cohorts.
