چکیده

The mechanisms of formation male infertility are increasingly becoming immune dependent. This study aims to the role pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokines in seminal fluid clarify their spermatogenesis. research is carried out at rheumatology urology departments Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University (Ukraine). 45 infertile men aged 22–48 were examined. They divided into 2 groups: first group – 22 with a systemic autoimmune disease rheumatoid arthritis; second 23 somatically healthy patients idiopathic infertility. control included 27 fertile years. Student's t-test was used compare significant difference mean values between groups. Patients diseases (rheumatoid arthritis) had highest rate leukocytospermia, indicating possible long-term inflammatory process. TGF-β1 level higher infertility, pathology reduced compared group, however these changes not significant. At same time patient both cytokine IL-18 increased approximately by 2.5 times. In pathology, simultaneous increase IFN-γ decrease IL-1β found. ІL-6 plasma groups increased. ratio IL-10/TNF-α decreased arthritis. It found that blood serum controls associated its (r=-0.51, p<0.05). low also concentration this (r=0.62, functioning reproductive systems body closely related interdependent. Disorders reactivity, which accompany development disorders function men. largest number deviations reactivity concomitant diseases. Keywords: cytokines,

Correlation between Seminal Fluid Analysis and Levels of Gonadotropins in Serum and Seminal Plasma of Normozoospermic Men and Infertile Patients

Background Levels of serum gonadotropins have direct effects on testicular functions and spermatogenesis. Assessment of levels of serum gonadotropins from fathered subjects and infertile patients indicates wide range diversity. In this study, we tried to find out whether the levels of seminal FSH and LH affect the parameters of seminal fluid analysis (SFA) and if there is any correlation betwee...

Comparison of Before and After Varicocelectomy Levels of Nitric Oxide in Seminal Fluid of Infertile Men

BACKGROUND Since nitric oxide (NO) has an oxidant activity, lower levels following a varicocelectomy may result in better functioning sperm, improved semen quality and consequently higher fertility rates. However, this procedure should be examined in more detail. OBJECTIVES Accordingly, this study was performed to compare the before and after varicocelectomy levels of NO in the seminal fluid ...

correlation between lipid profile of sperm cells and seminal plasma with lipid profile of serum in infertile men

conclusions these results suggest that serum cholesterol, phospholipids and triacylglycerols have no effect on the levels of cholesterol, phospholipids and triacylglycerols of spermatozoa and seminal plasma. our findings suggest that sperm lipid content is regulated locally within the male reproductive tract. patients and methods cholesterol, phospholipids and triacylglycerols in sperm cells, s...

The influence of oxidative damage on viscosity of seminal fluid in infertile men.

Increased oxidative damage has been suggested to play an important role in the viscosity changes of blood. However, changes in levels of oxidative damage products in semen and their relationship to seminal fluid viscosity are unknown. The aim of our study was to investigate whether oxidative damage was associated with seminal plasma viscosity in infertile subjects. The levels of malondialdehyde...

Sperm chromatin structure, semen quality and lead in blood and seminal fluid of infertile men.

BACKGROUND Exposures to lead above the threshold value of 50-60 μg/dL have been linked to diminished semen quality parameters. Worldwide, the lead exposure has been diminished during the last years. Therefore, it has become of a great concern to examine the effects of lead exposures on semen quality at low levels of exposure. OBJECTIVE To evaluate the effect of low level (<20 μg/dL) blood lea...
