چکیده

In the long-term period after kidney transplantation, a certain level of tissue inflammation and therefore production proinflammatory cytokines, including TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-18 IL-2 can be found. The aim our study was to determine concentrations IL-18, its soluble receptor (IL-2R) in renal transplant patients, regarding length postoperative period. involved 65 transplanted at least 12 months prior investigation, divided into three groups, time passed since transplantation (12-24, 24-48, >48 consecutively). Concentrations cytokines plasma subjects were measured using ELISA method. Group I showed significantly higher IL-1b compared III (p<0.05), II (p<0.05) TNF-a (p<0.05). Cytokine correlated with except for TNF-a. Interleukin-2 negatively immunosuppressant dosage Interleukin-1b, TNF-α measurements should considered monitoring detecting potentially subclinical allograft damage second year surgery. However, dynamics change cytokine concentration may also have been altered by components immunosuppressive protocols used, such as tacrolimus, which is link that yet examined.

Long-term results after conversion from calcineurin inhibitors to sirolimus in renal transplant patients.

UNLABELLED Calcineurin inhibitors (CNI) toxicity is one of the contributing factors for the development and progression of chronic allograft dysfunction (CAD). Conversion to sirolimus (SRL) from CNI improves renal function kidney in transplant recipients. BACKGROUND A retrospective review from patients abruptly converted from CNI to SRL over a three yr period is reported. METHODS Thirty-nin...

Parathyroid function in long-term renal transplant patients: importance of pre-transplant PTH concentrations.

Lack of resolution of hyperparathyroidism after long-term renal transplantation is common. The relative roles of the graft function attained and the degree of pre-transplant hyperparathyroidism have not been established. Intact parathyroid hormone (iPTH) and several clinical parameters were studied before and 68.6+/-26.8 months (range: 30-124) after renal transplantation in 62 patients (20 fema...

The Sources of Stress in Renal Transplant Patients

Introduction Renal transplant is the best treatment of choice for patients with end-stage renal disease (1). Annually, about 17000 patients receive deceased or living donor transplants, which help them promote health and self-efficacy (1-2). However, despite advances in transplant technology, patients face a number of post-operative challenges, which might lead to stress in patients, includin...
