چکیده
Purpose: Although osteosarcoma is the most common primary malignant bone tumor among adolescents and young adults, molecular mechanisms underlying development of cancer are not fully elucidated. Cyclophosphamide (CYC) an alkylating antineoplastic agent widely used in treatment regimens various cancers chronic inflammatory diseases. The aim this study to reveal effect CYC on Saos-2 cells at level by determining expression levels some matrix metalloprotease proteins (MMP-2 MMP-9) progression related genes.
Materials Methods: Cytotoxicity analyzes were performed applying developed human (Saos-2) cell cultures. determined dose was applied 2D lines for 12, 24 48 hours. As a result application, MMPs, which metastatic markers these cultures, immunocytochemical method.
Results: While MMP-2 MMP-9 protein increased control (PBS) groups correlation with extend duration cultures created; decreased administration.
Conclusion: It that genes play role metastasis such as application cells. These results shed light studies cancer.

The Effect of Adiponectin on Matrix Metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) in Vascular Smooth Muscle Cells
Background & Aims: Atherosclerosis is a major cause of morbidity and mortality. Adiponectin reducesthe risk of heart disease, and matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) is involved in the formation and development of atherosclerotic plaque. The aim of this study was the investigation of the effect of adiponectin on MMP-9 gene expression. It seems this hormone can reduce the risk of atherosclerosis ...
متن کاملDisulfiram suppresses invasive ability of osteosarcoma cells via the inhibition of MMP-2 and MMP-9 expression.
Cancer cells, characterized by local invasion and distant metastasis, are very much dependent on the extracellular matrix. The expression of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) has been implicated in the invasion and metastasis of cancer cells. In this study, we reported the effects of disulfiram, a clinically used anti-alcoholism drug, on tumor invasion suppression, as well as its effects on the ...
متن کاملCalcitriol exerts an anti‐tumor effect in osteosarcoma by inducing the endoplasmic reticulum stress response
Osteosarcoma is the most common type of primary bone tumor, and novel therapeutic approaches for this disease are urgently required. To identify effective agents, we screened a panel of Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved drugs in AXT cells, our newly established mouse osteosarcoma line, and identified calcitriol as a candidate compound with therapeutic efficacy for this disease. Calcit...
متن کاملEVALUATION OF THE EFFECTS OF IBUPROFEN CYTOTOXIC DOSE ON EXPRESSION LEVEL OF EXTRACELLULAR MATRIX DEGRADING MMP-9 AND ANTI-METASTASIS NM23 GENES IN CERVICAL CANCER CELLS
Background & Aim: Although studies have shown that ibuprofen has anticancer effects on many cancer cells, the mechanism of the ibuprofen anticancer effect in cancer cells is not still well understood. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of cytotoxic concentration of ibuprofen on the expression level of MMP-9 and NM23 genes in cervical cancer cells. Materials & Methods: During t...

Background: Leukemia is a malignant proliferative disorder of the hematopoietic cells. The important role of angiogenesis in leukemia has been reported by several studies. Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are a large group of endopeptidases which degredate the extracellular matrix and play an important role in angiogenesis. Objective: The present study was conducted to evaluate the patterns of ...
